Use

FASSACOL PLUS is applied indoors and outdoors on walls and floors, for laying: ceramic tiles, ceramic mosaic, clinker, stoneware, porcelain stoneware, cement-based compounds, natural stone that is not sensitive to stains and is stable to humidity.

The surfaces can be: lime, cement, gypsum-based plasters, mixed mortars, well-hardened and dry cement-based or anhydrite-based screeds, well-cured concrete screeds, gypsum plasterboard, existing flooring.

Suitable for laying pavements subject to intense pedestrian traffic.

Considering the perfect compatibility of the materials, highly recommended for screeds SV 472, SC 420 and SR 450, screeds made with FASSACEM binder and GYPSOTECH plasterboard.

Preparation and application

Add 27-29% for the white product and mix by hand or with a mechanical stirrer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, without lumps and of the desired consistency. Wait 5 minutes before application. Mix again and apply the adhesive with a notched trowel suitable for the type of tile to be glued.

Adding too much water does not improve the workability of the adhesive, but it can create various problems and reduce the final performance of the product. The mixture thus obtained will be workable for about 4 hours under normal conditions of temperature and humidity; under unfavorable conditions, the duration of the mixture may change. It is not necessary to wet the tiles before laying them, wash them with water only if the reverse is very dusty.

The tiles are applied by making a light pressure movement and hitting them properly, making sure that the entire surface is in perfect contact with the adhesive. The eventual leveling must be carried out no later than 30 minutes from the application.

In case of formation of a film on the surface of the adhesive, that is to say the formation of a "skin" on the surface, go over the surface with a notched trowel.

Depending on the characteristics of the tile (weight and format) and the thickness of the applied adhesive, the use of Fassa Bortolo levelers (NEW LEVEL TILE Kit) is recommended to facilitate installation. In accordance with local laying regulations or when necessary, adopt the double gluing technique, that is, the creation of a "full bed" of adhesive.
